LVMH VIP Event
Audio-Visual Performance
This 20-minute immersive performance was created for an LVMH VIP event in collaboration with Japanese koto musician Asuka, exploring the intersection of traditional and contemporary culture.
Premiering in Tokyo Tunnel and later curated by the LVMH marketing team, the piece reflected LVMH’s vision of innovation rooted in heritage. We developed a real-time audio-reactive system in TouchDesigner, translating the koto’s live sound into synchronized visuals across three 4K LED screens.
The visuals responded dynamically to Asuka’s performance—analyzing frequency, rhythm, and intensity to generate evolving forms of light and motion. Conceptually, the work bridged Japanese natural and spiritual motifs—ink, water, wind—with digital abstraction, forming a journey through six visual chapters that progressed from serene traditional imagery to futuristic, data-driven compositions.
The performance embodied our collaborative process of merging art, music, and technology, emphasizing aesthetic precision, technical reliability, and emotional resonance. By blending traditional craftsmanship with real-time generative design, we created an experience that celebrated both Japan’s cultural heritage and LVMH’s contemporary identity, inviting audiences to witness a seamless dialogue between sound and light, tradition and innovation.
